Happy Halloween!
Mommy is so excited for our first holiday and loves the idea of dressing us up in the cutest twin costumes in years to come!
Audrey Grace Mikayla Mae
Halloween was 6 days after these spooky sweethearts were born! Being that I LOVE LOVE LOVE holidays and all of the festivities that surround them, it was bittersweet to be home with our healthy and happy angel babies for their first one. It was also Mike's 31st birthday on November 2nd so, this year, we decided to celebrate his birthday on Halloween with family that was planning to visit anyways. It was so fun talking back and forth with Mike about what future years would look like. He loves the idea of "sharing" his birthday with the girls and have joint celebrations/parties with family!... Well, for as long as they find it endearing and pretty awesome to be able to celebrate their birthday with their "old man"! LOL
Although they were so cute in their little orange and black sassy/spooky Halloween outfits., my Aunt, so the their great aunt, gifted them with precious Snow White costumes at our shower back in August. Oh My Word... how cute they looked!!!
Their aunts had so much fun getting them all dressed up! Needless to say these sweet little girls were not put down for a second! :) There were way too many arms eager to hold these angel babies xo
Happy Happy Birthday My Love...
We still look back at this picture and cannot believe how tiny the girls are here. This was one week after they were born and they weighed about 5 lbs each.
I love this picture of Mike and I... and my tummy. Ironically enough, I miss my stomach. I lost my pregnancy weight and shape very quickly being that I had only gained a total of 18 lbs throughout my pregnancy and that I was breastfeeding. I'm sure I would be saying otherwise if I had held on to more of my weight but this wasn't the case. I LOVED being pregnant and I was sad to see the body that held these sweet girls for 9 months just disappear so fast. I like looking at pictures that show a small, swollen belly :) it reminds me of the beautiful gifts that God trusted me to carry for 9 blessed months.
Aww... my sweet Audrey! I'm sorry sweet girl, get used to getting your picture taken... A LOT! :)
We are truly as happy as these pictures make us appear! These girls are sweet as sugar... but they are exhausting as well! Being only one week out, we were living in a life of slight delirium! :) LOL
Heehee! Happiest of Happy Birthdays my love! :) Until next year... these little ones may be running around on your birthday! :)
